As the seasons change dramatically, so does the Alpine environment in Europe. Going back to the same area several times during the year's progress is always rewarding in itself. Especially this region is one of my favourites due to the dramatic back-drop of the steep mountain cliffs. It also holds a special play of light and shade because the peaks are very close. During several weeks in winter though, the corner of the valley won't see any sunlight touch the ground.
